Independent publication
About Us
The story behind an independent publication covering SEO, experiments and ideas from the iGaming industry.
Well… about me.
There is no “us” yet. No huge editorial team, no fancy office, and no Head of Organic Synergy.
Just me.
I’m Ole Petter, a Norway-based SEO who got into this mess after watching The Social Network in 2010 and deciding that making money on the internet looked fairly easy.
It was not.
At the time, I was studying tourism — a degree I’ve since put to excellent use by occasionally going on holiday.
My first website was about cheap holidays. Then came domain flipping, affiliate sites, a loan business that grew very fast and died even faster after our PBN made the news, agency life, and eventually iGaming.
Basically, I’ve spent 15+ years finding increasingly complicated ways to avoid getting a normal job.
For the last five years, I’ve focused on iGaming, building and selling affiliate sites. Most recently, I helped build iGamingToday.com before selling my stake in July.
Today, I run Growth AS — a mix of consulting, investments, and figuring out what Growth AS actually does.
And iGamingSEO.com?
While building iGamingToday, I discovered that I genuinely enjoyed writing about SEO. Apparently, staring at Google Search Console for 15 years does things to a person.
I also have a completely reasonable habit of buying domain names I don’t need. So when iGamingSEO.com came up for sale, I did what any financially responsible adult would do.
I bought another domain.
The idea is simple: build a useful — and hopefully entertaining — place for people working with SEO in iGaming.
Expect news, experiments, case studies, opinions, wins, disasters, and analysis from an industry where everyone knows exactly how Google works until their traffic drops 60%.
And hopefully, the “Us” part of About Us will eventually become true. I want other SEOs, affiliates and operators to contribute their own case studies, experiments and stories.
Got something worth sharing? Get in touch. Contributions are welcome. Editorial integrity is priceless. Almost.
Got a good idea?
Let’s make something the industry will actually care about.
I’m open to editorial contributions, data-led projects and selected partnerships that help the iGaming search industry make better decisions.
