A plain explanation of what AI does on this site and what it does not do.

I use AI on this site. Here is where, and where I don’t, so you never have to guess which parts a person stands behind.
Where AI helps
Research. AI tools help me pull and sort data: search results, ranking changes, Google’s own status updates. The numbers in articles come from sources you can check, never from a chatbot’s memory.
The AI vs human experiment. Some posts are written by AI on purpose, as part of a test of AI-written articles against my own on matched topics. Every post in the test opens with a label that says who wrote it, and the experiments page collects them.
Images. Many article illustrations are made with AI image tools. They are illustrations, not evidence. Screenshots and charts that show data are real.
Code. Parts of the site were built with AI coding help, including the affiliate stock board and the Google update tracker. The tracker itself doesn’t write with AI: when Google announces a ranking update, it creates a draft from Google’s status data using a fixed template, and nothing publishes until I’ve reviewed it.
Where it doesn’t
- AI doesn’t speak as me. If AI wrote a post, the post says so at the top.
- AI doesn’t invent experience. No “I tested this” stories that never happened.
- AI doesn’t make up numbers, quotes or sources.
- AI doesn’t decide what gets published. I do, and I answer for it.
These rules apply to everything published from October 2026 on. I’m checking the older articles against them, and any that fall short get fixed or labeled.
